What is the one thing that everyone celebrates once a year?  Their birthday!  Whether you are turning 1 or 100 you will be having a celebration that day.  Why not share it with us! 

The Courtyard on St. James has had a chic candy land 2 year old party complete with Bounce house and face painters to an intimate birthday bash where the 50 year young gentleman was the movie star complete with movie posters hung on the walls and paparazzi as he entered his event on the red carpet!

In Latin American cultures, when a girl turns 15 (Quince anos) there is a wonderful celebration in her honor that celebrates her transition from childhood to young adulthood.  The event typically begins with a waltz accompanied by her father or partner.  Dinner and LOTS of dancing typically follow.

Dessert for past events have varied from a sundae bar, cupcakes with pink or white frosting and our signature quincenera chocolate fountain with PINK chocolate!  That's right, pink chocolate.  It is always a hit as it is paired with fluffy marshmallows, strawberries, pineapples and large pretzel sticks.

Whether your party will be an intimate of 50 or 300 guests the Courtyard on St. James has the room and dance floor space to make this a memorable night for your little princess!

Special events such as prom, weddings, sweet sixteens, or even holiday parties call for special transportation. The typical thought for transporting groups of guests is usually a limousine or a charter bus, but one transportation option that is beginning to trend are trolleys.

With the Courtyard on St. James’ New Orleans style balconies and southern charm renting trolleys for your event is a perfect compliment to your unique and memorable evening.  After your party, guests can load up twenty at a time and easily be shuttled to one of the many conveniently located Galleria area hotels. The nostalgic send off will be just another unique detail your guests will talk about.

Whether you are looking for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah for 30 people to 300, Courtyard on St. James is the place for you!  Courtyard on St. James Place, Houston’s premier event facility has had themes range from Asian Fusion to All Star Baseball.  Margerie Chessler held her Bat Mitzvah service at Emanu El in Houston, and the reception followed at the Courtyard on St. James.  Below are some beautiful images of her “Under the Sea” themed Bat Mitzvah.

For years now, the Courtyard on St. James has hosted spectacular proms for high schools around the houston area.  As an event manager, I have gotten the luxury to help plan the most important social occasion of the school year.  2011 dresses were great, but I am very excited for next year.  The 2012 prom dress trend is yellow with a vintage flair!
